In the 1950s and 1960s bangles were made from Lucite or Bakelite. This luscious red opaque resin cuff is reminiscent of those bygone eras but without the pitfalls of the material. These became quite brittle over time and many broke. Resin is much more durable and long lasting and the color scope is endless.
Because this resin cuff looks similar to Bakelite, it would team perfectly with a retro look outfit. If you have a penchant for all things vintage, then this is not going to look out of place at all.
The translucency of this cuff bracelet will intrigue. This has a wonderful effect and means that the cuff always looks slightly different dependent on how the light is reflecting on it. It doesn’t look like a solid block of color on your wrist but rather something more organic.
I love resin for its durability but also the flexibility that I have with my designs. I prefer to keep things simple but play with rich colors because I feel that this makes much more of an impact to an outfit. The simple line and form of this opaque bracelet means that you’ll be able to wear it with everything.
